As part of its work in protecting water resources and reducing sources of pollution, the Water Resources Directorate in Quneitra participated, within the subcommittee responsible for monitoring olive presses, in a field tour of the presses operating in the governorate. This was done in cooperation with representatives from the directorates of agriculture, environment, industry, trade, and consumer protection.
The directorate's participation focused on inspecting the pits designated for collecting olive mill wastewater, checking their safety and distance from wells, and ensuring that wastewater does not leak into groundwater, helping to reduce the risk of water pollution and protect water resources.
