This was part of the Ministry of Energy's efforts to protect water resources and strengthen compliance with water legislation. The campaign resulted in the seizure of five unlicensed excavators that were being used to dig illegal wells.

The Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa continued its field work in the irrigation and drainage sectors, aiming to fix faults and leaks and improve the efficiency of the water network.

The work included: Sector One: Following up on the repair of a breach in the left bank canal in Al-Khayyala by transporting, backfilling, and spreading around 60 cubic meters of soil, and removing the earthen dam. Machinery also started fixing a collapse on the Marj Al-Khadra – Western Salhabiya road, in addition to clearing 300 meters of the Faddal US7 canal in Al-Adnaniya, and clearing 1,800 meters of the Wadi Al-Fayd canal between regulators 16 and 18.
