Within the project, 3,564 hectares.. work begins on the dredging of canal A2-3

The Water Resources Directorate has started dredging the A2-3 canal, which is part of the 3564-hectare project, as part of the ongoing plan to maintain and upgrade water networks and canals.

The work aims to remove accumulated sediments and plants from the canal, restoring its full drainage capacity and ensuring smooth water flow, which directly protects agricultural lands.

The directorate confirmed that the dredging work is following a clear and well-studied plan, covering various canals and projects in the governorate without exception, benefiting all farmers equally and contributing to the sustainability of water infrastructure and boosting agricultural production in the area.
