The water police caught five unlicensed excavators in the countryside of Homs governorate

The water control unit at the Water Resources Directorate in Homs, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, carried out intensive inspection rounds in the countryside of the governorate over the past few days. This was part of the Ministry of Energy's efforts to protect water resources and promote compliance with water legislation. The campaign resulted in the seizure of five unlicensed diggers that were being used to drill illegal wells.

The directorate continues to properly document these cases to take legal action according to procedure, and the machines were placed in the directorate's garages. The water control committees continue their rounds as part of a plan aimed at cracking down on illegal digging to reduce the phenomenon and limit the depletion of groundwater.
