To facilitate the delivery of water through it and maximise benefits for farmers, the staff carry out dredging works using the available machinery, with the assistance of equipment from the Quneitra Governorate for the large lateral canals.
The staff and machinery of the Directorate of Water Resources in Daraa also carry out dredging and trimming work on the Wadi al-Riqad course between Daraa and Quneitra governorates to improve flow conditions and close some side branches to reduce water losses.
