Tartous water resources participate in desalinating the old Arwad port
Under the guidance of the Governor of Tartus, Mr. Ahmed Al-Shami, the Directorate of Water Resources participated in the dredging works of the old Arwad Port, as part of the preparations for the 2026 tourist season.
The directorate's machinery, in coordination with the Tartus Municipal Council, is carrying out the removal and relocation of the accumulated sand and silt in the port to facilitate the movement of boats and ensure the smooth flow of maritime traffic to and from the port.
