Intensive efforts by the Water Authority as part of efforts to protect groundwater in Daraa

The Water Resources Directorate in Daraa Governorate seized two illegal drilling rigs, one from the city of Tafas in the western countryside and the other from the city of Karim al-Janoubi in the Sanamayn area. This was done with the support of the local directorates in those areas.

The rigs were taken to the directorate's garage, and investigations were completed in the local districts, and legal procedures were initiated against the violators.

The directorate is currently working on filing lawsuits against the violators.

This brings the total number of seized illegal drilling rigs to 81.
